Hey Everybody,

Sadly last week there was no DayTime 😦  So this week, you can rest assured that it will be an event that SHOULD NOT BE MISSED!  We’ll have prizes, refreshments, games..you name it.  The only caveat being that you will have to bring all of that stuff on your own, sort of a “BYO” theme.  But other than that, I’ll provide everything 🙂

This week’s session….or PARTY, will be held in the US/MS faculty room at 10AM.  As always, please feel free to shoot me an email with what you would like to discuss ahead of time, or just show up with any questions/projects/concerns that you may have.  Please let me know if this time doesn’t work for you so we can schedule a better time to talk.

Below are two videos that highlight innovative schools.  The first is an introduction to “High-Tech High International” in San Diego.  The school focuses on critical thinking, collaborative problems solving, project-based learning, real-world experiences, global citizenship and constant innovation.  HTHI is one of the three finalists to have President Obama speak at graduation this year:

The second shows how a school district in Whitfield county in Nortwest Georgia has emulated HTHIs model and shifted to a project based learning environment.
